Nick Kisella author of Morningstars

Nick Kisella was born and raised in the small New Jersey town of Manville, where he began writing fantasy and horror while still in high school.  In his late teens his first short story was published in an Indie magazine called ‘Dreadknight’, followed by the newsletter ‘Brave New Tic’.  Since then his work has appeared in various forms from print and online magazines to blogs.  His first fantasy novel, ‘The Emerald and the Blade’ came out in 1989 by a long defunct publisher, with ‘The Chalice of Souls’ soon to follow by 3rd Millennium Publishing.  Some of his most recent work includes a screenplay and novelization for Nifty Entertainment, a small California-based production company, as well as getting the first two fantasy novels he wrote as a teen, The Chalice of Souls and Death and the Doomweaver back in print for the sheer nostalgia of it.  Primarily a horror author, he has also adapted several films into novels, most recently including The Mary Horror Trilogy, and I Spill Your Guts. He’s also penned several screenplays over the years. Some of his most recent works are comprised of the novels Morningstars, The Beasts and the Walking Dead,  Darque & Obscure, and Crossing Lines. A fitness enthusiast, he has been a certified fitness instructor involved in the industry for twenty years.

Nick Kisella was born and raised in Manville, New Jersey and later moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania with his wife Kimberly, and their twins.  On October 28th, 2015, at the age of 49, Nick suddenly passed away at his Pennsylvania home, leaving behind an award-winning multitude of works for the world to enjoy and for us to remember what a truly extraordinary talent and man he was.  For more information, please see below.

2019 much-needed update:  Sadly, Mr. Kisella passed away.  With the utmost gratitude to his wife Kimberly, and to his many fans, his legacy of fiction lives on through Black Bed Sheet Books and abroad for generations to enjoy.

Praise for Nick Kisella

“Nick Kisella is a brilliant author/writer. His stories take you on his journey and you can just smell the coffee. You can see the characters and what they are doing. He writes with so much passion and his ability to just take you on a journey with him is what makes his work so incredible. I highly suggest you read all of his books. His talent is undeniable.”  –Janel Spiegel, from Amazon

“I had bought the book The Beasts and The Walking Dead for one if my son’s who is a fan of all things zombie. I usually am not a fan of the same books but like to have a general idea of what they are reading. After reading the first few pages, I was hooked. It is such a great idea to develop personalities for the characters as opposed to the usual ” zombie” book. I read it in two nights. I am anxiously awaiting the sequel to this superbly written book.”  KTompkins
