Path of the Dead

$9.98
Nestled on the foot of the sacred Seche La Mountain is the village of Dagzê, Tibet, China. The normally quiet streets are bustling with the steady stream of arrivals and preparations for the coming Festival of the Medicine King; a time of celebration, healing, and renewal. But a shadow is sweeping the world, a plaque of apocalyptic proportion: the dead are rising and devouring the living, and no place is safe where humanity thrives. As Dagzê burns, overtaken by the hungry undead, five people come together. Together they fight their way out of Dagzê, driving up a treacherous mountainside trail to their only refuge— a long-abandoned Buddhist hermitage clinging to a mist-shrouded granite wall of Seche La. With the undead following and gathering at Eagle’s Nest gate, they barricade themselves inside their dead-end haven, and battle the beasts without and ones within. Also available in Ebook here: book cover[su_list icon="icon: book"]

Praise for Timothy Baker

“Monster Ink is Timothy Baker’s collection of three short stories—Monster Ink, Hell and Tarnation, and Front Lines, Big City. This is very quick read.

Monster Ink leads this collection and takes up half the book’s pages. I thought the story started with a short sense of disorientation, but it soon paints a picture of Johnny, a member of a motorcycle club, whose skin is rotting and falling off. He is in the backroom of a tattoo gallery, begging for help. Pony, the tattoo artist, is another member of the motorcycle club who promises to help Johnny ‘get himself together.’ To tell you how Pony helps Johnny is a huge spoiler. Not only is Monster Ink an enjoyable horror tale, but Timothy Baker has a true flair for dark humor. I felt the humor translated well in this kickoff story.”  Jake Elliot, author of The Wrong Way Down

Strange Fruit: A Ghost Story

Freak. That's what folks are calling Lyric Freeman after a horrific crash kills her best friend and nearly claims Lyric. Her injuries result in the ability to hear the dying speak, and soon she finds she must help deceased slaves find freedom. Not so bad, right? Wrong... STRANGE FRUIT: A Ghost Story is a wild ride through the American Slave Trade to a modern day haunted house and is inspired by the protest poem by Abel Meeropol and the haunting musical versions by Nina Simone and Billie Holliday (and the many others who have done this ode justice).[su_youtube url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFs5tcsJlFU&t=24s" width="400" height="300"]Also available in Ebook here: Strange Fruit: A Ghost Story[su_list icon="icon: book"]
